2014 Dusted Valley Boomtown Chardonnay
Columbia Valley, Washington
$16.00 per bottle

This week we are excited to feature a winery keeping in the spirit of America and the Fourth of July. In 2003 The Johnson and Braunel families decided to quit their jobs and move to Walla Walla Washington to pursue their dream of opening a winery. 13 vintages later, Dusted Valley continues to make exceptional wines and we are happy to be featuring their 2014 Boomtown Chardonnay. Delicately oaked, this is a wonderful expression of Chardonnay boasting lively flavors of pear, golden apple and hints of spice. Rounded with lively acidity, this pairs well with crab cakes, vegetable risotto and pool side deck chairs.

Tenuta La Pergola Monferrato Rosso
Barbera & Dolcetto blend
Piemonte Italy

$16.00 per bottle

A wonderful little cuvée from winemaker Alessandra Bodda, this week's feature is a delicious blend of Barbera & Dolcetto from Monferrato which is just a little ways to the northeast of the Barolo zone in Piemonte. Boasting the rich, herbaceous aromatics of Dolcetto and the pleasant fruitiness of Barbera, this blend is well structured for a light-bodied yet long and flavorful summertime red. The versatility of this wine makes it extraordinarily easy to pair with meat dishes, everything from regional carne all'albese to braised lamb shanks.

Chateau La Roque Cupa Numismae
Syrah & Mourvèdre
Languedoc France
$15.00 per bottle

Another gorgeous southern French red imported by Kermit Lynch, we are very happy to get this in your hands for only $15.00. The Cupa is a lovely blend of Syrah & Mourvèdre, organically and bio-dynamically produced from 40 year old vines. Deep aromas of blackberry, herbs de provence with subtle cedar notes lead to bright flavors of cranberry and raspberry with lively acidity. Wonderfully balanced, this wine would pair quite nicely with braised short rib or roasted pork shoulder.
