Jackhammer Wine Co.
2013 Pinot Noir
Central Coast, California
$15 per bottle | $162 per case

Given its official title as “World's Most Difficult To Grow Grape,” it's only natural to adjust your expectations when you encounter a Pinot Noir made for everyday drinking. You might be lucky enough to find one that tastes good, but finding one that also tastes like Pinot Noir is uncommon to say the least. Jackhammer Pinot Noir not only succeeds on both accounts, it excels at it; therefore we have selected it as our Wine of the Week. Classic California Pinot cherry cola flavors aren't shy in the least, and handle the warm oak with ease. Full-bodied and juicy enough to accompany a steak, balanced and fresh enough to pair with salmon or simple roast chicken, it's a Pinot Noir to please Old World and New World palates alike. - Ryan Stotz,  Assistant Store Manager, H&F Bottle Shop
