Kavalan King Car Taiwanese Single Malt

A unique whisky from the Far East that has been aged in ex-bourbon, sherry, and wine casks for four years that drinks like twelve year old single malt Highland Scotch. The Taiwanese climate increases the interaction with the wood drawing out the rich tannins from the oak. With supple toffee, honey, and caramel notes that develop into a dried dark fruits of raisin and fig. Then finishing long with oak and sherry that keeps you wanting more, this whisky is a sign of things to come from the rapidly developing Asian whisky makers. I huge fan of the Asian Whiskies and King Car is one of my favorites. Casey Teague, Whisk(e)y Specialist, H&F Bottle Shop
