"Rum is made from pure sugar cane, in a process that is partly science and mostly art." Montanya President and co-founder, Karen Hoskin, brings these words to life in every step of the rum making process; using sugar cane sourced from Louisiana fermented after just one press. The spirit is then distilled over an open flame in a Portuguese copper Alembic still and filtered through coconut leaves before being rested and bottled. Montanya rums are art personified - beautiful grassy notes with hints of coconut and banana; finishing with a burst of vanilla and a dash of black pepper. Excellent for sipping or mixed into your favorite rum-based cocktail.
